About the job


Definition of Role: Ensures that the Administration of the quality assurance function is controlled with periodic reporting of all relevant information in line with the Business requirements.

Administrates all reportable aspects of function and publishes related data.


Overall Purpose of Role:

Responsible for control of aspects of the Quality Assurance function;

Work in a team to develop and implement best practice.


Key Responsibilities
General & Task Management: –

  • Administration and control of customer complaint process.
  • Administration and control of internal reject process.
  • Manage all internal logging of complaints and communication back to customer therein.
  • Facilitation of material review board activity (MRB).
  • Report in line with MRB activity / outcomes.
  • Management of outcomes of contract review process.
  • Management of outcomes from new product introduction process (NPI).
  • Ensure close out of outstanding actions from all above processes.
  • Support NPI interface between WPE and customer base.
  • Support NPI to ensure that supplier and internal quality meets the business requirements
  • Liaise and communicate with customers and internal stakeholders in respect of quality process.
  • All general administration tasks in line with quality system requirements (training will be given).
  • Promote customer quality requirements for WPE and the suppliers of the company
  • Provide concise, complete and accurate documentation relative to area of responsibility.
  • Monitor and report on supplier product quality performance.
  • Monitor and report on WPE quality performance.
  • Undertake special projects as required, report on KPI and projects status as / when required. Contribute to C.I. activities
  • Stay current with changes that may affect the supply and demand of required products / materials and advise on the impact to all relevant stakeholders.
  • Visiting and attending meetings, communicating outcomes to relevant stakeholders
  • (Training) In conjunction with engineering team, review and development of process parameters and criteria to ensure effectiveness, to meet the requirements of the business
  • (Training) Root cause analysis and corrective actions of QA issues, joint action plans, CSIPs and monitoring, to address process issues or possible improvements.
  • (Training) Take part in QA Audits
  • Be willing to travel to other group sites as required (currently minimal)


People Management:

  • Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement.
  • Train/coach fellow colleagues on quality awareness as/when required to facilitate task completion.


Relationship Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationship with all stakeholders, to ensure optimal performance
  • Liaise and communicate with others as required

  • Lean manufacturing knowledge (preferable but not essential)


Qualifications & Experience Levels:

  • Some experience of engineering background
  • Demonstrated history of manufacturing processes knowledge
  • Proven track record in relevant technology
  • Knowledge of the use of quality systems, quality tools & techniques
  • Experience of dealing with customers and suppliers
