Machine tool Maintenance Engineer

Overall Purpose of Role

Walker Precision Engineering Ltd are looking to recruit a site-based Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance team with facilities & equipment, planned, preventative and predictive maintenance.

Key Responsibilities Include

•             Electrical and Mechanical maintenance within CNC machine shop;

•             Implement and carry out preventative maintenance on all plant & equipment;

•             Resolve machine breakdowns;

•             PAT testing;

•             General Site Maintenance;

Relationship Management

•             Liaise and work proactively/collaboratively with other departments, customers and suppliers to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction

•             Proactively manage up-stream information/activities to ensure delivery dates are achieved.

•             Operate with a degree of trust & respect for others

•             Adopt positive outlook and endeavour to come up with solutions to challenges


•             Work normal hours in an effective manner and work overtime as required to support the business needs.

•             Communicate with all work members in a clear, concise & polite manner

•             Work in a safe manner by complying to Health Safety & Environmental Policies

•             Balanced and confident in work activities,

•             Works well as team player as well as an individual

•             Minimum of 5 y experience as an Machine Tool Maintenance Engineer desirable

•             Experience of FANUC controls desirable;

•             Experience of RENISHAW BALLBAR desirable;

•             Up to date 17th Edition qualification desirable;
